Netizens Troll Vidya-Madhuri Duo in Ami Je Tomar 3.0 : Lightning Fails to Strike Thrice

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, starring Kartik Aaryan, is set to hit theaters on November 1, coinciding with the Diwali holiday. In the lead-up to the release, the film's creators unveiled Ami Je Tomar 3.0, a song that has been a significant part of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa legacy since the first movie debuted in 2007. While this song holds a special place in the franchise, the latest rendition didn’t resonate well with fans.

The newly released version of Ami Je Tomar has not been widely embraced on social media. In the first film, Vidya Balan performed to Shreya Ghoshal’s vocals, creating a memorable cinematic moment. Kartik Aaryan added his own spin in the sequel, with Arijit Singh providing vocals. For this third rendition, Madhuri Dixit—a celebrated dancer in Bollywood—joined the iconic song. However, attentive fans pointed out several inconsistencies in the video. Some speculated that Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit may have filmed separately, and some suggested CGI was used for the floor. There were also claims that Vidya’s appearance looked AI-generated and that the actresses seemed digitally de-aged. The filmmakers have yet to respond to these criticisms.

Did You Know? Bhool Bhulaiyaa is a Remake of a Malayalam Film

The Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise, which originally starred Akshay Kumar, is based on the Malayalam movie Manichitrathazhu, directed by Fazil (father of Malayalam star Fahadh Fazil). Kartik took on the lead role in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, playing Rooh Baba opposite Kiara Advani. In Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, he stars alongside Animal’s Triptii Dimri and Madhuri Dixit.

Produced by T-Series Films and Cine1 Studios, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is set to release during Diwali, facing off at the box office against Singham Again, part of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe.
