Shah Rukh Khan Makes His Debut on the Hurun India Rich List with Rs 7,300 Crore Net Worth

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has entered the Hurun India Rich List for the first time, with an estimated net worth of Rs 7,300 crore. He joins the ranks of business tycoons like Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani, making him one of the 334 individuals whose collective wealth totals Rs 159 lakh crore, according to CNBC TV18. Shah Rukh’s wealth is largely attributed to his ownership of the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders and his production company, Red Chillies Entertainment. Additionally, his strong brand presence, including 47 million Instagram followers, bolsters his financial standing.

Notably, other Bollywood stars also feature on the Hurun India Rich List 2024. 

1. Juhi Chawla, who co-owns Kolkata Knight Riders, has a net worth of Rs 4,600 crore, making her the second richest in the industry. 

2. Hrithik Roshan follows with Rs 2,000 crore, thanks to his athleisure brand HRX and a massive social media following of 32.3 million on Twitter. 

3. Amitabh Bachchan and Karan Johar also made the list, with net worths of Rs 1,600 crore and Rs 1,400 crore, respectively. Bachchan’s wealth is linked to strategic investments, 

4. while Johar’s fortune stems from his production company, Dharma Productions.

At the Locarno Film Festival, where Shah Rukh Khan was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award, he reflected on his success, stating, "Stardom is just a circumstantial, consequential by-product. I’ve never considered it important, though I respect it for the recognition, respect, and love it has brought me."

In addition to Shah Rukh Khan, newcomers to the Hurun India Rich List include angel investor Anand Chandrasekaran, Zepto co-founders Kaivalya Vohra and Aadit Palicha, Lenskart co-founder Neha Bansal, and Zoho’s Radha Vembu.

Gautam Adani tops the list with a staggering Rs 11.6 lakh crore, pushing Mukesh Ambani to second place. On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan recently made a powerful comeback with three films—Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki. He is currently working on Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming film     .
