Honey Singh asserts that his documentary Yo Yo Honey Singh Famous reveals his 'true story.' He mentioned, “My effigies were burned, but I’ve never spoken out about it until now.”

Honey Singh recently reminisced about his time on the set of “Lungi Dance” from the film Chennai Express, sharing a humorous anecdote about the long wait he endured during the shoots

In a candid conversation with Cine Connect, Honey Singh recounted, “The funniest thing that happened during the ‘Lungi Dance’ shoot was being made to sit in makeup for 12 hours. It felt like a deliberate test of my patience. They seemed to think, ‘Let’s see how long he’ll wait since he’s so eager to be part of this.’ I was just sitting there, and everyone who came to the set, including Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, along with Ranveer Singh, was very kind to me.

But despite their warm behavior, I was kept waiting. They only took my shot at the very end and then said, ‘Pack up.’ That was definitely the most surreal and amusing part of the experience.”

In a separate interview with Lallantop, Honey Singh also reflected on what he considers to be the least serious song of his career. He remarked, “The dumbest song I’ve ever written is ‘Blue Hai Paani Paani’. Honestly, what kind of song is that? The lyrics are just silly. While some of my songs like ‘Brown Rang’ and ‘Blue Eyes’ had their own appeal, ‘Blue Hai Paani Paani’ felt like nonsense.”

Honey Singh also revisited his thoughts on “Lungi Dance,” admitting, “Looking back, I question what I was thinking at the time. People put me on a pedestal for it, and now, performing these songs makes me chuckle. Despite my own critique, people still enjoy these tracks and they continue to generate revenue for me.”
Released in 2013, “Lungi Dance” was a tribute to the legendary South Indian actor Rajinikanth and became a major hit, with its hook step going viral. Similarly, “Blue Hai Paani Paani” also enjoyed its share of popularity upon release.
